Canadian Christian Music Highlighted at 2023 Junos
The nominations have been announced for the 2023 Juno Awards.
Five recordings are up for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the year, including the self titled album from Jordan St. Cyr.
St. Cyr is nominated twice in the category and had JOY Radio ‘Song of the Year’ for 2022 with “Weary Traveler”. St. Cyr was also named ‘Artist of the Year’ among all international solo performers, along with JOY’s award for ‘Canadian Group/Artist of the Year’.
“Weary Traveler” became the longest charting CANADIAN song on our weekly ‘Joy Top 20’ countdown program at 28 weeks! This bested the previous record by Love & The Outcome, who were also nominated for a Juno Award for their album “Only Ever Always”.
The 52nd Juno Awards will be held in Edmonton on March 13th.
